Originally a 4 piece, Richie and The Runners formed in Cambridgeshire, creating a heady blend of  acoustic guitars, harmonica, cajon and tambourine - sometimes joined by a mandolin - Richie and the Runners were ahead of their time, setting the stage for bands that followed such as The CC Smugglers.

Later joined by Australian  bassist, and in the summer of 2011 by drummer Glen Burgess - a new sound evolved taking the band in a new direction, though that unmistakable foot tapping sound can still be heard running through.

Sadly Richie & The Runners disbanded, but you can still enjoy their music, streaming on Spotify and iTunes.
