Prisoner' is the debut EP from Cambridgeshire based band ‘Richie and the Runners’ Recorded and Produced by Greg Stephenson, at Perry Road Studios, Buckden, Cambs, ‘Prisoner’ is the first offering from this rising quartet.
A heady blend of acoustic guitars, harmonica, cajon, and tambourine, at live performances the audience also being treated to the occasional appearance of the mandolin, Richie and the Runners possess the ability to raise the roof with their impressive conviction.
Penultimate song Show me the way, slows things down after the footing tapping first track. That said, in their live shows Show me the wayquickly turns uptempo. Last but by no means least the final offering on the EP is Pride, again a track which at live shows inspires a singalong so fervent that resistance would be simply futile.
